Dogwood Classic 21 Scooter Campout

7 Hills Scooter Club is BACK with another iteration of the Dogwood Classic, our scooting/camping/what-have-you party in Culpeper, Virginia! 21 years…finally old enough to drink!

This makes SEVEN years of us nerds darkening the vineyards of Mountain Run Winery. So there’s obviously wine (and really good wine at that), but did you know there are:

• Toilets! Ooh la la, how continental!
• Showers! HOT showers at that!
• Beautiful rides through mountain foothills, pizza dinner Friday night, homemade brekkie from Chef Ed Willeman Saturday morning, various games of skill that somebody’ll pull out of our collective ass at the last second. Solid hangs for shady people.
• A DAY OFF AFTER REMEMBER THAT’S MEMORIAL DAY DINGDONGS¹

The fun starts on Friday, May 22nd at 5:00 pm and ends before noon on Sunday, May 24th. There are plenty of long, winding country roads upon which to scoot, wines to quaff, and wedgies to dispense. You’ll like it, we promise.²

ROUGH DRAFT ITINERARY:

Friday, May 22nd:
5:00 p.m. – Arrive at Mountain Run Winery in Culpeper, VA. The campsite a left turn off the main road in. Note for riders: this is a deep gravel road, so take your time with it. If we get our shit together, there should be signs leading your way into the campsite.

Pitch camp anyplace on the two big fields, really. You should see our club trailer, Big Red, set up near the Greenlee Tavern, which boasts bathrooms and hot showers. (The…tavern, not the trailer.) This year, there are a few other campers not with us on the far side of the field near the fighting pit, which miiiiight figure prominently during the weekend.

6:00 p.m. – Informal hang/meet ‘n’ greet at the main winery building down the road.
